Vineland, NJ - The Cannabist Company has notified the State of New Jersey they will be laying off 80+ employees after filing for bankruptcy earlier this year.

The company, which has two grow sites in Vineland, will be shutting down, expected to take place on October 11th. The company has noted increased financial pressure caused by increased competition and illicit dealers as a cause.

The Vineland layoffs are part of a larger asset sell-off, with The Cannabist Company selling assets in Ohio, Delaware, Illinois, West Virginia, and Massachusetts.
