59-year-old Albert “Brian” Moir was brutally stabbed in his residence by his 35-year-old grandson, Shawn A. Moir, on Tuesday, August 26th. Moir was a retired Vineland, NJ firefighter.

Prosecutor Webb-McRae said Vineland Police arrived on scene at roughly 11 p.m. and found the victim. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. Despite best efforts, Albert “Brian” Moir later succumbed to his injuries.

The suspects vehicle, a Chevrolet Tahoe, was spotted days later at Villanova University. He was quickly taken into custody by U.S. Marshals Service.
