Vineland, NJ - One person is dead after a car ran off the road on Delsea Drive early Monday and crashed into a building, catching on fire.

According to police, a 2026 Kia K5 was heading north when it ran off South Delsea Drive, the car hit a curb on the east side of the road, cut across the property of LaTorre Jardware & Garden, crossed back over the highway, and struck the BME Event Group building. Then, the vehicle caught on fire.

The accident occurred just after 2:00 a.m. on Monday, temporarily shutting down traffic on Delsea Drive. The identity of the driver and the circumstances leading up to the crash have not been released.

Bob Morgan, the owner of BME Event Group, said in a Facebook post shared to the company’s account that staff were saddened by the crash and were praying for the driver’s family.
