Millville, NJ - Two people have been charged following a shooting at a Millville gas station early Sunday that left two people killed.
At approximately 3:40am on Sunday, Millville Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area of 815 N. High Street. When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Ashley Brown of Millville and Andy Steven Brazil of Vineland, both 32 years old. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
On August 18th, 2026, Daniel L. Gilmore Jr., 50, of Millville, was charged with two counts of Homicide, two counts of Attempted Murder, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Certain Persons not to have a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon of a High Capacity Magazine, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
The State alleges that Gilmore Jr. shot into a vehicle where four victims were located causing the death of both Brown and Brazil. The other two victims, an adult female and a minor female, were not injured. Gilmore was taken into custody on August 19th and the State will move for pretrial detention.
James Harris, 52, of Absecon, has also been charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Certain Persons not to have a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Unlawful Pointing of a Weapon.
The State alleges that during this incident Harris fired shots in the direction of a passing vehicle that was occupied by two unknown individuals. Harris was taken into custody on August 17th.
