The Bridgeton, NJ Police Department has confirmed they took action against at least one individual who interfered with ICE-related activity, and has received additional reports of citizens acting recklessly following immigration enforcement.

In a social media post, The Bridgeton, NJ Police Department denied a NJ.com report that ICE Agents made contact with individuals at a Salvation Army Food Pantry, but did confirm ICE Operations in a nearby park.

In the post, Chief Battavio confirmed he has received information regarding citizens following ICE Agents, driving recklessly. Videos showing individuals passing vehicles at a high rate of speed, crossing double lines, etc.


The Bridgeton, NJ Police Department reminds residents of their involvement in the “Immigrant Trust Directive” and respects the right to peacefully protest.
